Welcome to my campaign! I am running for Council in Ward 5 to empower your voice and support responsible local planning solutions that create an affordable, just, and prosperous Guelph. Together, we can ensure your voice is heard!
My Mission
Over 25 years ago I chose Guelph as the place I wanted to live, work and with the help of my loving wife, raise a family. I have proudly called this city home while building a rewarding career as a business education teacher and mentor. Throughout those years, I have had the privilege of working directly with students, families, local businesses, and community members — listening to their concerns, helping solve problems, and building meaningful connections across our city. Now I am ready to lean in and dedicate myself to a new chapter of public service as your Ward 5 City Councillor.
My mission is rooted in transparency, accountability, affordability, and strong local leadership. I believe residents deserve an energetic councillor who is approachable, curious, and genuinely willing to listen before making decisions. Leadership is not about pretending to have all the answers — it is about asking the right questions, bringing people together, and working hard to find practical solutions that improve everyday life for families.
What sets me apart is my lifelong commitment to this community and my ability to connect with people from all walks of life. As a teacher, I have spent decades helping others succeed, communicating clearly, and earning trust through honesty and consistency. I understand the importance of listening carefully, treating people with respect, and ensuring your voice is heard.
I know our community faces real challenges — affordability, growth, infrastructure, and maintaining the quality of life that makes Guelph special. I also know that solutions come from collaboration. I am humble enough to know I do not know everything, but experienced enough to know how to bring people together, ask tough questions, and find the right answers. Through years of community involvement and relationship-building, I have developed strong connections and the practical problem-solving skills needed to advocate effectively for Ward 5 residents at City Hall.
My commitment is simple: to work hard, communicate openly, and empower the voice of my neighbours to help create a more affordable and thriving community for families, seniors, students, and local businesses alike.
Together, we can build a stronger future for Guelph!
